13.2. Recruitment Process
a. Written subject test: Principal, Administrator and Vice Principal will study all applications and CVs and prepare a shortlist of at least FIVE candidates and prepare a description of each short listed candidate and decide when a written test is to be organized.
b. The date of the written test and time will be decided by the above three persons.
c. Written test will be held on the basis of the prepared subject test question papers.
d. Marking of the subject tests will be done by pre-selected persons by the Principal
e. Result sheets will be prepared for the subject tests and a shortlist will be prepared from those who obtained more than 50% marks in the written test.
Demo Class: Principal will arrange a demo class for those (maximum three) candidates who secured good marks in the written subject test. Performance in the demo class taking into consideration: the capability of teaching of the candidate that is
i. teaching interestingly,
ii. A good delivery of the lesson in a simple and an easily understood English language,
iii. have a commanding and controlling voice
iv. ability to manage the class with the use of teaching aids,
v. Looking behind while using the white board and
vi. Teach with confidence and a smiling face will be considered as 50% of the recruitment of a teacher.
Answers to Bangla questionnaire: The candidate who proved himself/herself in the demo class to have the most capability to be a good teacher will be asked to write answers to the Bangla questionnaire and after the Chairman and the Principal read the answers, an offer would be made to the desired candidate.
Recruitment Committee: A recruitment committee consisting of the Chairman and Founder, Principal, Administrator, the Vice Principal and the VC and Treasurer will decide the recruitment on a written report of the Principal based on interview, subject test and demo class and personality test based on the answers to the Bangla questionnaire.
Computer typing speed test (words per minute): A computer test of 10 minutes will be taken by the Admin officer 1 after the writing of the answers to the Bangla questionnaire on the same day.
13.3. Salary Offer
The Chairman will offer a salary to of the candidate on the basis of the candidate’s qualifications, capacity to speak and write English, subject knowledge and demo class performance and most importantly a degree of B.Ed. and M. Ed or at least B. Ed. He may consult with the Principal VC& Treasurer and Administrator.
13.4. Appointment
After the decision to appointment and salary acceptance by the candidate, he/she will be asked to join on a particular date and he/she will be given a Lesson Schedule. He /she will be given to read and study the document: Teachers’ Duties, qualities and necessary explanations and a copy of school rules governing the service of teachers. On the joining date, she will be given a Joining report
To sign and the Principal will counter sign the Joining report, which will then be filed in the file named JOINING REPORTS.
